A trial smile: try it before you decide.
A trial smile is a rehearsal of the planned result before treatment begins. Supported by Digital Smile Design, it lets you see and, in many cases, try a preview of the new smile in your own mouth, so you can decide clearly. At Well Clinic Odontologia, in São Paulo, this step comes before any permanent procedure.
Birthplace of DSD
See the smile before starting.
Deciding about your own smile is simpler when you can try the plan before making it permanent.
Evaluation and planning
At the 2-hour systemic first consultation, the smile is planned with Digital Smile Design, considering your face, your teeth, and what you want.
A preview of the result
The plan gains a visual preview, so you can see the proposal before anything is done.
Trying it in your mouth
In many cases the preview is placed in your own mouth as a reversible mock-up, so you see and feel it.
Adjust, then decide
Adjustments happen at this stage. Only what was approved becomes permanent.
Why this step matters.
- Because nothing becomes permanent before it has been reversible first
- Because seeing a plan on a screen is not the same as wearing it
- Because adjustments are cheap at this stage and expensive afterwards
- It supports cases such as veneers and full smile rehabilitation
What patients ask us.
Is the trial smile permanent?
No, and that is the point. It is a reversible preview, so you can decide before anything permanent is done.
Can I adjust the result?
Yes. Adjustments happen at this stage, with your opinion, and only what was approved becomes permanent.
Does every case have a trial smile?
It is part of the Digital Smile Design approach and comes before permanent procedures. What applies to your case is defined in the planning.
Can I be seen in English?
Yes. Consultations and planning can be conducted in English, in Jardim Paulista, São Paulo.
The first consultation reads the whole case.
Two hours evaluating teeth, bite, habits, and overall health, in English if you prefer, before any plan is proposed.
